Our church service space has a piano, a drum set, and microphones, which makes for an awesome service.
Multiple Sunday’s per month, Kalamazoo Jail Ministry has partner churches and/or nonprofits come into the jail to perform church service. We are so blessed by Jesus/GOD that we can have churches and organizations come in to serve the inmates!

On May 17, 2026, The Redeemed Church of God (African denomination, also called The Empowerment Center) was back in the jail for an awesome service! One of the most powerful sermons in the jail in a long time! Here is some video:

On May 3, 2026, Adam Sterenberg (Founder of both Tree of Life School and Path of Life School) was back in the jail, as was Pastor Jason Olson (Reverend of City Church Kalamazoo), for a powerful service! The music was thundering inside the jail! Here are some videos:
On March 1, 2026, Jeffrey Tavarez from Iglesia Church was back to do the music, and Lead Chaplain Jeff Grupp delivered the sermon, which was titled, “Waiting for GOD.” Here is a video from one of the songs from the service:
On February 15, 2026, Calvary Bible Church was back in the jail to do the Sunday service. The sermon was called, “Turning to Jesus.” Here is the full video:
On February 1, 2026, Cornerstone Pentecostal Church was back to do the service. Great service, powerful music! Here are two videos:
January 18, 2026: The Empowerment Center (RCCG Denomination) was back in the jail for the Sunday service. The inmates appreciated the deep message from the Empowerment Center’s pastor. It is often assumed that jail inmates require a infantine message, but on the contrary, the inmates are very hungry for deep, powerful, meaningful Truth. Here is the video of the service:
January 4, 2026: Praise Jesus that Adam Sterenberg, founder of Tree of Life School, and Path of Life High School, was back for the first service of the new year, 2026. It was a service composed of music from the KJM Jail Jam Praise Band, and also Scripture reading, and testimonies. Here are some of the videos:

On October 19, 2025, Pastor Jason Olson was back to do the Sunday service. Here is the video (below):
This is a lively service with the female inmates, with a lot of fun and laughs during this sermon. This is how I imagine the New Testament Church, full of fun, celebration, laughter, and radical openness to each other. -Jeff Grupp

Next, on October 5, 2025, Cornerstone Pentecostal was in for the first time to do the Sunday service. It was very powerful–some thought this was one of the most moving KJM services ever. Here is the video:
On September 7, 2025, Adam Sterenberg returned to the jail for the second ever KJM testimony and Scripture reading service. It was an extremely powerful service, where several inmates got up to give their testimonies. Here is a blog post all about this powerful service:

On May 4th, 2025, the RCCG Empowerment Center of Kalamazoo (African denomination) returned for the Sunday service. It was great! Here is the video (and one of their songs is after the sermon, at the end of the video):

On March 2, 2025, in part-sermon and part-testimony, Pastor Jason Olson, of CenterPoint City Church preached a truly powerful and joyous message for the Sunday jail service. Adam Sterenberg, and what we are calling the KJM JAIL-JAM, brought the music. Sterenberg’s singing brought the fire of Jesus into the place! Here are the videos:

On February 16, 2025, Calvary Bible Church was back in the jail, for the first women’s service since before Covid! And the service was super powerful, largely because it contained Paul Barrett’s testimony, coming to know Jesus by being in a car crash that brought him to near death. Here is the video:
On February 2, 2025, CityGate Church returned to do the jail service. The service was powerful, praise Jesus! We appreciate CityGate for being a wonderful partner to Kalamazoo Jail Ministry. Check it out:
