At KJM, we believe in Jesus Christ, and the Christian Bible. We believe the entire Bible as absolute truth, of no private interpretation:
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation (2 Pet 1:20).
We would like to point to the following core beliefs we have, and which are utilized during jail ministry daily:
We believe in Bible inerrantism, and the Bible as perfect logic.
We believe that Jesus Christ is GOD, the only GOD, who was/is fully human, who is the Creator of all things (Heb 1:2; Col 1:16-17), where eternal salvation in an unending afterlife is freely offered by Him to all people (Rom 5:18, 1 Tim 4;10, 1 Cor 12:13). We believe that one has to worship the name of Jesus Christ, the Intercessor (Rom 8:26-28), in order to know GOD and be saved (see John 3:18). His name means Salvation, and by no other name can one know GOD.
We believe that GOD/Christ is omnipresent, fully sovereign, omni-loving, and Spirit who is the consuming Fire. We believe He is the crucified GOD who will only save by infinite sacrifice (John 15:13), where the most important task of the human is to live by faith in Christ/GOD (Eph 6:16), where faith is evidence of the unseen (2 Cor 4:18, Heb 11:1), wherein faith is experience of GOD–or, in other words, being with Him (seeing Him [Ps 105:4], fixing our eyes on Him [Heb 12:2]), through the moment, hours, and days of our lives:
This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. (Acts 2:33)
We believe that lived with humanity in order to be like humans (Heb 2:14-17), thereby healing and/or restoring our having the Imago Dei (that is, so we can sufficient be like GOD, so that we can return to Him directly in the afterlife, see Eccl 12:7) in order that we can properly be like Him, and overcome death like He did (via Christ being raised from the grave), wherein we can be given eternal salvation.
Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth he shewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire. (Deut 4:36)
Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might instruct thee: and upon earth
We believe that eternal salvation is granted by GOD alone, where man does nothing (John 15:5; Eph 2:8-9) to bring about the supernatural eternal salvation. It is an act of infinite supernatural love, done completely by GOD/Christ, where when a person is saved, they are saved while they are a sinner, and GOD, being the one who does the impossible, puts His Spirit fully inside of sinners.
We believe that the materially poor have the kingdom of GOD (see Luke 6:20, esp. the KJV wording).
We believe that humans are to fully accept each other (Rom 15:7; 14:11-13), and love each other unconditionally (Matt 5:43-48). More specifically, all people are to consider all other people as if they are brothers and sisters (Col 3:11; Gal 3:28), as as better than self (Phil 2:3).
We believe that while humans can prayerfully exhort one another (Heb 3:13), they however are never to condemn or judge each other, under any circumstances:
Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye (Matt 7:5).
We believe that humans are designed to experience GOD, the Holy Ghost (Holy Spirit), directly and be aware of His presence (Ps 16:11; Ps 27:4; 1 Cor 13:12; 2 Cor 5:7-8), to know Him (John 17:3), where such is the purpose of our lives:
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. (1 Cor 2:2).
We believe that every person indwelt by Christ is to live in total surrender to Jesus/GOD, all the time (Gal 2:20). The salvific human being is not equal to GOD, but that the salvific human being is so close to GOD that they have a oneness with Him (1 Cor 6:17, Heb 2:11).
We believe that the world is currently the domain of the devil (James 4:7; 2 Cor 4:4), and the world with its pleasures, and its spirit of antichrist (see 1 John 4:3), has the capacity to inhibit man from knowing GOD directly (1 Pet 2:11).
We believe that Christ (GOD) will soon return, and reveal Himself fully, as He truly is (1 John 3:2), wherein GOD’s children will become as they truly are (again, see 1 John 3:2), in seeing Him at the Eschaton (Rev 21:2), for the restoration of all things (Acts 3:21), wherein all GOD’s children (John 10:16) will have new bodies (see Luke 20:36 KJB wording), and there will be no more pain or sin (Rev 20:13-14, 21:4, Isaiah 25:8).
