KJM Receives $30,000 Grant for KJM Aftercare
Grant Purpose: Specifically for expanding the Good News about how GOD/Jesus helps those who have next to nothing.
August 3, 2024
Kalamazoo Jail Ministry (KJM) has received a $20,000 grant for KJM Aftercare (with the possibility of $10K additional). More details to follow in the coming weeks. KJM will receive the first installment in early 2025. The KJM Board of Directors will pray and with one mind (Phil 2:2) decide on how best to use the funds for KJM Aftercare. A summary of the KJM proposal for the grant is as follows:
• To bring broad awareness of the power of Christ to Kalamazoo, to transform the entire county. This will be done specifically by helping jail inmates find shelter, food, clothing, and spiritual help, upon release from jail, where we will broadly share those rescue stories with the entire county, revealing GOD’s love and Truth, to bring broad healing and joy to Kalamazoo.
KJM is just getting into aftercare, and we are just starting to understand the beauty, power, and joy of helping those who truly have next to nothing, who may have to sleep outside in the dirt tonight, unless they receive help. We are just starting to see the salvation power that KJM Aftercare has. We are so blessed to be the LORD’s hands and feet.
