Yesterday I was at a cell with four men in it. I walked up, and one fella yelled, “finally!” He was up on his bed, and as soon as I arrived and started talking, this fellow, Michael, started crying heavily, while sitting on his bed.
By the goodness of the LORD, I was filled with His softness and love, so I could really listen to these men, and really preach GOD’s beautiful love to them.
Michael fired question-after-question at me. By GOD’s blessing, I already had in the front of my mind the exact verses to show to Michael with each question–Jesus had prepared me! There is often so much confusion amongst the inmates about what is correct theology, what is Scriptural, what is doctrine. So it’s really a blessing when one has a verse delivered to them by the LORD, so as to bring the Truth of the LORD directly from the words of GOD. Weekly, the LORD will put verses and passage of Scripture in front of me, and then I see the inmates ask me about them a few days later. WOW. That gets your attention! The LORD was prepping me.
Hard to have any doubt when you see GOD work this way. I believe the LORD is doing that with all people, but most people are distracted by self and world, and can’t see or hear these signals, messages, signs (Isaiah 7:11) from GOD/Christ. In my life, I have prayed for the LORD to help me see these, and He has answered weekly, or sometimes daily. He’s done all the work. I’ve only sat back and watched in amazement.
