Kalamazoo Jail Ministry visits every cell each week, and with each visit we have fellowship, prayer, discussion about GOD, and Bible study with all the inmates. Only if an inmate refuses to have Bible study with a KJM pastor will the Bible study not occur, but that has not happened in several years, since amazingly, virtually all inmates warmly accept KJM pastors for weekly Bible study. KJM pastors are loving, accepting, kind, and filled with humbleness to ALL inmates — no exceptions — which is part of the reason that there is such universal acceptance of Bible study (and near universal acceptance of GOD/Jesus) weekly amongst the inmates in all the cells. This is a great miracle of the LORD, to bring such incredible, high-level, supernatural ministry to so many inside the jail weekly. KJM’s only purpose and action in the jail is pure ministry, and therefore, Bible study is the primary task of KJM pastors, when we visit every cell every week. There are also specialized KJM Bible studies, where KJM pastors pull inmates out of their cells to go to a classroom for weekly Bible study, but our primary Bible study is, as stated, through the bars at every cell every week. The KJM team consists mainly of lead pastors and associate pastors from around Kalamazoo County, and for that reason, the jail inmates are getting optimal and expert Bible analysis weekly. Some KJM pastors have handouts (worksheets, Bible verse study guides, etc.) for the inmates each week. The inmates respond very well to handouts, and they seem to put extra focus on handout materials.
Overall, KJM is incredibly blessed by the LORD Jesus to have given us these capacities (He does it all!!), for week-to-week success. Praise GOD!
