I was born and grew up in Kalamazoo. Attended Christian schools and Second Reformed Church. When I was 10 years old, at Camp Geneva in Holland, Michigan, I accepted Jesus in my heart. My personal relationship with him didn’t start until 20 years later when I joined a prayer group at my church and began to experience God working in my life. Everything changed for me (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Jeff and I are blessed to have four kids. Soon after our youngest was born, Jeff was called into jail and prison ministry. Not long after, I got involved in jail ministry at the Kalamazoo County Jail with him. It’s been a blessing to be able to come alongside the women and share life experiences with them, and the deep joy and comfort of GOD’s Word.
I love spending time with my family. Our busy home is filled with the sounds of piano playing, drums, and dogs barking. During the summer we travel to Lake Michigan as much as possible.
